Things you'll need:

Take the box and wrap it with paper using painter's tape ( it's surface is kind of papery, so that later when we colour, it absorbs the colour well).
Draw a tribal god face on one half.
Roll paper into slim tubes and stick it on either side as shown.

Roll some more paper and make two rings, somewhat bigger than the eyes, and make three balls and a rectangular wedge for the nose. make a thin long roll for the eyebrows and one for the mouth. Stick them using glue and painter's tape.

Gently tap some tissue paper on the face and again gently nudge the tissue into the corners with a brush dipped in a mixture of glue+water (1:1 ratio).
After the tissue has snugly fit onto the face and dried, colout the face black.

We'll start with the feathers on the crown. Take an old cardboard file and cut out leafy shapes as shown. These are for supporting the feathers.
Now, cut the shape of the feather from the colour papers. This should be bigger than the support leaves.
Stick the feather part on the support and snip the borders of coloured feather in close cuts to make it more realistic.
Take a piece of cotton, dab some golden colour on it, and roughly brush the cotton on the dried box to give it an antique metallic look.

Glue the feathers on the forehead .
Make spears out of gold paper or an old wedding invitation and insert in the side tubes.
Stick the crystals into the hollow of the eye carefully. Let the glue dry.

Make a random headband with shells or simply draw designs on a belt of golden paper and glue it to cover the base of the feathers, on the forehead.
Paint fangs, and random coloured stripes on the cheeks.
Sit back and take a moment to admire your work! Fierce, isn't he?
